His car lasted until just after the midpoint of his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race since suffering concussion symptoms last summer. “I feel good,” said Earnhardt, who hasn’t raced since July of 2016 and ended up 37th on Sunday. “I don’t have any symptoms for anything I’ve experienced in the past. It wasn’t that hard of a hit, but still, that doesn’t mean you can’t get injured. “I’ve just got to thank NASCAR because we got with them in the offseason about some things to help myself inside my car and we changed some things in the interior that are going to help me going forward.
